Geography
Chuvash Republic , Mariinsko-Posad district , Privolzhskoye rural settlement . Located on the eastern border of the Mariinsky-Posad district on the right bank of the Volga River between two ravines (about 2 km south of the village of Pushchino and 1.5 km north of the village of Shulgino and about 7 km east of the village of Neryadovo , the center of the Volga region rural settlement), height above sea level 63 m [3] .
Ecology
In 1996, in order to preserve and study one of the largest colonies of gray herons in the Chuvash Republic, near the village of Urakovo, in the 4th quarter of Marposadsky forestry of Marposadsky forestry, the state ornithological reserve “Urakovsky colony of gray herons” with an area of 55 hectares was established [4] . Over the years, there were up to 140 nesting pairs. In 1999, he was included in the state natural reserve "Vodoleevsky" of republican significance with an area of 151.9 hectares [5] .

Since ancient times, the villagers engaged in fishing, cooked fresh, salted, dried fish of such species as bream , pike perch , catfish , chub , sterlet , pike , sabrefish [6] .
