Solemn meeting of the Academy in 1932 on the occasion of the centenary of its restoration.
The French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences ( French Académie des sciences morales et politiques ) is one of the five national academies of the Institute of France .
It was founded in 1795 , dissolved in 1803 and restored in 1832 through the efforts of Guizot . The purpose of the academy is a scientific description of human life in society to develop the best options presented to the government. Given the evolution of terms that have taken place, its name must be understood as "the academy of socio-political sciences."
Organization
At present, the Academy has 50 members in 6 sections:
- philosophy;
- ethics and sociology;
- legislation, public law and jurisprudence;
- political economy, statistics and finance;
