- 1186 BC er - The end of the nineteenth dynasty in Egypt , the beginning of the twentieth dynasty .
- 1184 BC er April 24th is the traditional date of the fall of Troy .
- 1182 BC er - in a desperate letter to Ammurapi , the last king of Uragita , announces the approach of the fleet of the Peoples of the Sea . Shortly thereafter, they destroyed both Uragit and Alassia ( Cyprus ).
- 1181 BC er - Menesefei , the legendary king of Athens and a veteran of the Trojan War , dies after 23 years of rule and is replaced by his nephew Demofont , son of Theseus . According to other versions, his death was shifted ten years earlier during the Trojan War (see 1180 BC )
- OK. 1180 BC er - The invaders destroy Hattus , which caused the collapse of the Hittite kingdom .
