The emblem of the Soviet Union Peace is known, which depicts: a sickle and a hammer, a stylized rocket, aurora borealis, a hexagon with a star inside. The emblem became the prototype of the modern coat of arms of the municipality of Mirny.

On December 10, 2003, by the decision of the municipal assembly of the municipality of Mirny N 272, the coat of arms and flag of Mirny were approved, as well as the Regulation on them. ^[one]

The coat of arms had the following description: “The coat of arms of the municipality of Mirny is a shield of French form, dissected by three vertical stripes: the extreme - scarlet and central - azure. The ratio of scarlet to azure 1: 2. On the azure background at the tip of the shield is a voluminous stylized golden star there are silver vertical rays in the form of a wave-like ribbon above it, a narrow golden tip with an internal retracted base directed from left to right, with the upper beam longer than the lower one. At the left edge of the central strip is one four-pointed silver star whose rays are directed parallel to the sides of the shield, with the rays directed down and to the right, two times longer than the opposite ones.

Symbols: surround star - a symbol of memory to the founders of the city and the cosmodrome; vertical silver rays - the northern lights and the star - indicate the high-latitude location of the city; the golden tip - a stylized image of an aircraft - the original meaning of the cosmodrome city. Red (red color) - a symbol of courage, courage and fearlessness; light blue (blue color) - a symbol of beauty, softness and greatness.

On April 27, 2005, by Decision No. 13 of the Second Session (third convocation) of the Municipal Assembly of the Mirny municipality, a new Regulation on the coat of arms and flag of the Municipality of Mirny was adopted. ^{[2] The} description of the coat of arms became heraldic. Decision of the municipal Assembly of December 10, 2003 No. 272 ​​“On the coat of arms and flag of the municipality of Mirny” has lost force.
