Located on the banks of the Shelon River, 27 km north of the city of Porkhov .
The population at the end of 2000 was 29 people. [one]
Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Demyanskoy volost (with the center in the village of Borovichi ), which was merged with the Dubrovno volost (with the center in the village of Dubrovno ) in the Dubrovno volost with a new center in the village of Borovichi .
