Located on the banks of the Shelon River, 20 km north of the city of Porkhov .
The population at the end of 2000 was 10 people. [one]
Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Demyana volost (with a center in the village of Borovichi ), which was merged with the Dubrovensky volost (with the center in the village of Dubrovno ) in the Dubrovensky volost with a new center in the village of Borovichi .
