Performs at international competitions since 2007. At the 2007 World Championships he took 7th place. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, he could not go beyond the preliminary races . Bronze medalist of the 2010 African Championship. Took 5th place at the 2011 World Cup. At the Olympics in London, he took 4th place with a score of 8.20.00.
Personal record - 06/08/16, was set on May 11, 2012 at the Diamond League stage in Doha.
