Biography
Born on March 12, 1914 in the village of Staroselie (now Gorodishchensky district of Cherkasy region ) in the family of a blacksmith . She graduated seven years and went to the collective farm brigade. Subsequently became the leader. In 1935, entered the competition with a link M. S. Demchenko and reached a yield of 600 kg / ha of sugar beet . In 1937, M. Gnatenko - a student of the Institute of Food Industry. A.I. Mikoyan. During World War II, she worked as a nurse and hospital commissioner. Since 1947 - Researcher at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of sugar beet . At the same time completed correspondence courses in universities. In 1951 she graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Agriculture . Candidate of Agricultural Sciences 1955 .
The delegate of the XVII — XX Congresses of the Communist Party of Ukraine, at the XVII — XIX congresses of the Communist Party of Ukraine was elected a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 2nd convocation. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR of the 1st convocation.
