The Council of Ministers of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (Government of the Kazakh SSR) is the highest executive and administrative body of state administration of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic that operated from 1936 to 1990 , before the transformation of the Kazakh SSR into the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Council of Ministers was vested with broad powers in the field of resolving issues of public administration, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Kazakh SSR and are not within the competence of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR . In 1990 he was reorganized into the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR [1] , 1993 - into the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which currently performs the functions of executive authority in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
