Career
Ismael began his career at Monterrey and made his debut on July 21, 2001 in a game against UNAM . He quickly won a place in the basic structure of "Monterrey". He made his debut in the Mexican Championship Rodriguez in 2003, he played in 18 matches and scored two goals. His further successes at the club level attracted the attention of the national team coaches. In 2005, Ismael was bought by the America Club, which was the reigning champion at the time.
International Career
In 2004, Rodriguez played for Mexico at the Olympics . And also in 2009 he played at the CONCACAF Gold Cup .
