History

The original name Sukin Lane has been known since 1791, given by the name of the landowner of the actual state adviser Y. Sukin. In parallel, there was the name Ogorodny Lane [2] .

Since 1898 (winter 1897), the Izotov House was built on Rybinskaya Street. Architects: V.P. Zeidler, A.S. Gulin, G.M. Kudryumov. The only residential building in the history of the street. Settled in the 1970s.

In 1900, a railway crossing was liquidated on Rybinskaya Street, and the street itself was laid along the railway along a modern highway. In addition, a small section of Chernigovskaya street from Kievskaya to Borovaya streets was included in its composition.

The modern name Rybinskaya Street was assigned on August 17, 1902. From the conclusion of the City Council submitted to the City Duma: “Recognizing that Sukin Lane, by the disagreement of its real name, is subject to renaming and finding that this lane with a ten-fold width can be called a street, the City Government offers, for its part , assign the designated lane "Rybinskaya street", in view of the passage at this point of the rail track of the Vindava-Rybinsk railway " [2] .

In 1905, a bridge over the Obvodny Canal was built in the alignment of Rybinskaya Street, linking it with Ruzovskaya Street.

In 1916, the extension of Rybinskaya Street was built, linking it with Ligovsky Prospect, and after backfilling of the Ligovsky Canal in 1926, it also became part of Aeronautical Street . However, the continuation received the independent name Novo-Rybinskaya street .

In the 1950s, a “kink” was straightened at the very beginning of the street, and it finally acquired a modern shape.

Starting April 29, 2006, one-way traffic was introduced on the street towards the Obvodny Canal. [3]

On March 10, 2019, at the house number 7 on Rybinskaya Street, pensioner Valery Petrov and teacher Mikhail Loov erected a commemorative plaque “Thanks from Humanity!” A modest initiative of ordinary citizens 2019 ”. In honor of Arkady Severny and Alexander Shevalovsky, recorded in this empty house, during the resettlement of 1977-1979, at the underground studio of collector Viktor Naboka.
