Biography
Brenda Chapman was born in Illinois , USA . Chapman is married to director Kevin Lima (born 1960). The couple have a daughter - actress Emma Rose Lima. As of May 2006, the family lives in California .
Career
Brenda began her career as an animation director in 1985 .
In 1994, Brenda wrote the script for the animated film The Lion King , for which in the same year she received the Annie Award (1994) in the nomination Best Individual Achievements for a Historical Contribution in the Field of Animation. In 1998, together with Steve Hickner and Simon Wells , she staged the cartoon “The Prince of Egypt ”.
