Biography

Born November 27, 1921 in the city of Odessa in a working class family. Russian

He was drafted into the Red Army in 1940. In 1941 he graduated from the Kharkov Military Aviation School of Rifle Bomber and was sent to the army on the Volkhov Front.

From January to the end of March 1942 he participated in the Luban offensive operation against the Novgorod enemy group. Petty Officer E.I. Gorelik on the Volkhov Front made 36 sorties, most of them at night. In April 1942, his regiment was sent to the rear for reformation. In May 1942, Gorelik was transferred to a reserve aviation regiment located in Astrakhan. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943.

Since September 1944, he fought in the 18th Air Army, into which long-range aviation was converted. Participated on the 3rd Ukrainian front in the Vienna strategic offensive operation ( March 16 - April 15, 1945 ), including the liberation of the Hungarian cities of Veszprem, Papa, Szombathely, Sopron, the Austrian city of Wiener Neustadt. In the interests of the 1st Ukrainian Front, it carried out bombing strikes on an encircled enemy group in the area of ​​the city of Breslau ( Wroclaw , Poland ), which contributed to the ground troops taking the city.

By January 23, 1945, Yevgeny Gorelik made 303 sorties, including 36 sorties on the P-Z plane in the Air Force system and 267 sorties on the B-25 plane in the Long-Range Aviation system, including 36 sorties Departures on a special assignment by the command in the interests of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. In an air battle shot down 1 enemy aircraft.

After the war he continued to serve in the Long-Range Aviation of the Air Force of the Soviet Army. Since 1955, Colonel E.I. Gorelik - in stock. Received a builder diploma. He lived in Odessa, worked as an engineer in the construction organizations of the city.
