General Information

Paula is one of two daughters Zdzislava and Pavel Kani, her younger sister is Zuzanna.

With tennis, the father of Sosnowiec introduced the native to Sosnowiec , bringing her to the tennis court for the first time at the age of seven. Paula is not the only professional athlete in the family - her mother once professionally engaged in volleyball, and after completing her playing career, she was part of the coaching staff of one of the Polish Women's Championship clubs.

Sports career

In April - May 2019, Paula together with Dalila Jakupovic from Slovenia took part in the doubles tournament of the J & T Banka Prague Open , where they reached the semifinals, but lost to the pair Anna Kalinskaya (Russia) / Victoria Kuzhmova (Slovakia) in a stubborn fight, where the fate of the match decided in the championship tie break. The first set was won by Yakupovich / Kanya with a score of 6-3, the second was left behind by Kuzhmova and Kalinskaya on a tiebreaker 7-6 (7) and in the next tiebreaker luck was again on the side of the Russians and Slovakians and they won with a score of 10-1 and subsequently won the title.
