Biography

In 1902 he was ordained a priest of the Melchite rite .

In 1909, he was incardinated by Metropolitan Sheptytsky to the clergy of the Kamenetz-Podolsk diocese .

He was a consultant to the Russian Liturgical Commission and a member of the Papal Commission for the Codification of Eastern Canon Law to the Eastern Congregation in the Vatican . He worked in the archives and library of the monastery Grottaferrata .

In 1938 , in connection with the celebration of the 950th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia, he participated in the first in the history of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome Liturgy together with the clergy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church fathers: Joseph Slipyy , Clement Sheptitsky , and Viktor Novikov sj .
