Biography
NF Kurikhin was born in Moscow on December 1, 1922 in the family of the actor FN Kurikhin .
From 1941 to 1947 he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army . During World War II served radio ADD Air Force .
In 1953 he graduated from the directing faculty of VGIK (workshop of L. V. Kuleshov ). In 1953-1958 he worked as an assistant director, then as a director at Mosnauchfilm . Author of a number of popular science films, stories and essays. (Unfortunately, this period of Nikita Kurikhin’s work is almost unknown.)
Since 1958 - director of film studio "Lenfilm" . And in the same year he staged his first full-length feature film “The Last Inch” (together with T. Yu. Vulfovich ).
In the painting "The Lark" Nikita Kurikhin worked with L. I. Menaker .
As Leonid Menaker recalled: “At the studio, Kurikhin was said to be a wonderful editor, but he was not able to work with the actors, he was even afraid of them. My task was to help with the actors. As a result, I became an equal co-master. Together we shot another picture. Don't forget ... Lugovaya station " [1] .
He died in a car accident on his "Zaporozhets" ( ZAZ-965 ) [1] with his wife on July 6, 1968, on the way to rest in the Baltic States .
