Anime talks about the members of a pop group called Mix Juice who need to perform somewhere to become famous. All the main characters are named after Japanese flower names. Sakura got its name in honor of the same name cherry , Himawari means “ sunflower ”, Ayame means “ iris ”, Yuri means “ lily ”, and Kiku is translated as “ chrysanthemum ”.

The names of the girls from Mix Juice also contain Japanese names for the seasons corresponding to the names. Haru means spring, Natsu means summer, Aki means autumn, and Fuyu means winter.

Dr. Susumu Tsukumo ( 九 十九 科学 Tsukumo Susumu ) is a brown-haired boy in a lab coat with number 99 on his back. According to his theory, man never flew to the moon . Tsukumo himself is about to fly there without using fossil fuel for the rocket. Dr. Tsukumo creates rockets called Wandaba # for experimentation. When Tsukumo measures something, he uses the old Japanese metric system, consisting of units such as shaku , sun , ri, and koku .

Seiyu : Koki Miyata

Kiku No. 8 ( Jap. キ ク 8 号 Kiku hachi-go:) - Dr. Tsukumo’s assistant, android and satellite . Her body is made of solar-powered metal, which recharges it. Based on the design, Kiku Sakura accuses Tsukumo of being a pervert. Kiku has short pink hair and an emotionless face. At the end of some anime series, she counts the number of days remaining before arriving on the moon.

He dreamed of being the manager of the best group in the world capable of earning him millions. Often, Michael is neglected during some kind of Tsukumo experiment. Seiyu : Susumu Chiba

Ithirin is a robot - the unicycle of Dr. Tsukumo, as well as a laboratory assistant who looks after Tsukumo like an older brother. Tsukumo never had real brothers. Ithirin helps Tsukumo with his experiments and tracks progress. Ithirin's voice is very cultured, like that of a butler.

Tsukumo's parents are also scientists. Father, Kosaku, conducted an experiment with an earlier rocket and tried to fly to the moon, but no one knew if he had come back. Then it turns out that he fell back to Earth and all this time lived in Canada. Mother, Furuko, an angry, immoral and selfish woman who became a mortal enemy of Dr. Tsukumo. Almost at the end of the series, Furuko finally reconciles with his son and stops this long feud. She joined Kosak in a limousine, and Dr. Tsukumo continued her experiments.
