Biography
Kirill Semyonovich Gladkiy was born in 1756 or 1759 (according to the official list in 1791 he was 32 years old), came from a poor noble family (according to AM Fadeev was the son of a simple Little Russian peasant).
Not having received a proper education, he is obliged by a quick movement in the service only to his natural mind and excellent talents (AM Fadeev gives a different explanation of the reasons for the professional success of G.).
The Coat of Arms of Gladky was included in Part 10 of the General Armorial of the noble families of the All-Russian Empire , p. 150.
Starting service on May 10, 1771 in the Dnieper Pikiner Regiment as a corporal and being promoted to ensigns on September 27, 1782, he then transferred to civilian service as secretary of the 1st department of the Yekaterinoslav Province Magistrate with the rank of provincial secretary (March 15, 1784).
Produced on September 12, 1785 to the collegiate secretaries, K. S. Gladky on August 28, 1790 was transferred by an assessor to the Yekaterinoslav Criminal Chamber, and in 1791 he was transferred to collegiate assessors.
In 1795 he was appointed adviser to the Novorossiysk provincial government; in 1796, he was promoted to court councilors, in 1799 - to collegiate councilors, and in 1800 - to state councilors.
In 1802, Kirill Semenovich Gladkiy was appointed chairman of the Sloboda-Ukrainian Criminal Chamber; in 1803 he was transferred by the chairman of the Kherson Criminal Chamber, and in 1804 he was promoted to full state councilor.
In 1805, he was appointed Kherson civil governor, and in 1808 - Yekaterinoslav.
On January 22, 1816, Gladkiy was relieved of his post, with assignment to the Herald, in 1819, due to his frustrated health, he retired. In the last years of his life Gladky suffered from an incurable disease.
Kirill Semenovich Gladky he died on December 27, 1831 in the city of Yekaterinoslav.
He was a holder of orders: St. Anne of the 1st degree (1807, with diamonds of 1811) and the 2nd Art. (1805) and St. Vladimir 2nd century. (1812) and 4th Art. (1794).
In 1791 he was included in the 1st part of the genealogical book of the Ekaterinoslav governorship.
