It is located on the left bank of the Blue River, 30 km south of the city of Ostrov and 6 km south-west of the volost center, the village of Kryuki .
As of 2000, there was no permanent population in the village. [one]
Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now-abolished Sineretskaya volost with its center in the village of Griva .
