(11947) Kimklijsters ( Dutch: Kimclijsters ) is a typical asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 15, 1993 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Elst at the CERGA research center and named after the Belgian tennis player Kim Kleisters , the former first racket of the world in singles and doubles.
