Meir Garipollaevich Eskendirov ( Kaz. Mayir Karipollaly Eskendirov ) (born November 24, 1972 ) is a Kazakhstani scientist, regional historian, doctor of historical sciences, professor , director general of the National Congress of Historians of Kazakhstan, Rector of Shakarim University.

Biography
Born November 24, 1972 in with. Aksuat, now Tarbagatai district of East Kazakhstan region.
Since 1995, after successfully graduating from the History Department of the Shakarim Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute, specializing in history and social studies teacher, educational methodologist, he worked in the higher education system. With the expansion of the circle of professional duties, it became necessary to obtain additional higher education in the specialties of “Lawyer” and “Engineer-economist”.
For thirteen years of professional activity in the field of education and science, he has gone from an assistant rector and teacher to a professor and rector of the university.
Candidate dissertation “East Kazakhstan in the years of power modernization (20-30s).”, Defended in 2001. The defense of the doctoral dissertation "Social and Economic Development of East Kazakhstan (second half of the XIX - the beginning of the XXI century)" took place in 2006.
In 2013, he became deputy director of the Nazarbayev Center Multifunctional Research, Analytical and Humanitarian-Educational State Institution.
Today, being the Executive Director of the State Institution "Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation", he continues to be actively engaged in scientific, educational, methodological and public work. Eskendirov M.G. prepared 1 doctor and 7 candidates of historical sciences. Meir Yeskendirov is the author of more than eighty scientific and scientific-methodical works. Elected academician of a number of International and Republican Academies. Member of the editorial board of the Shakarim encyclopedia, editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal Center of Eurasia, author of the electronic journal History of East Kazakhstan (Regional History).
