It is located 14 km north of the city of Ostrov , near the M20 highway and the corresponding section of the Pskov - Ostrov railway.

History
Until 2005, the village was part of the now abolished Dulovo volost , then, until April 2015, it was part of the now abolished Volkov volost of the district [4] .
