The World Junior Ice Hockey Championship in 2005 in the III division - a sports ice hockey competition under the auspices of the IIHF , held from March 7 to March 13, 2005 in Sofia , Bulgaria . The teams that took first and second places got the right to play in the second division of the 2006 World Cup .

Participating teams
6 national teams took part in the championship - three from Europe , two from Oceania and one from Asia . The national teams of Belgium and Australia came from the second division , the Turkish team got to the championship through the qualifying tournament , the rest from the last tournament of the third division .
