The 1963 World Figure Skating Championships were held by the International Skating Union from February 28 to March 3 in Cortina d'Ampezzo ( Italy ). Competitions were held in the categories of women's single skating , men's single skating and pair skating, and in ice dancing . A record number of skaters took part in the competition - 123. The representative of the Netherlands, Shaukie Dijkstra , became the world champion among women, the representative of Canada Donald McPherson won the men, the representatives of the Federal Republic of Germany Marika Kiliius and Hans-JΓΌrgen Boimler won the match , the representatives of Czechoslovakia Eva Romanova and Pavel Roman won in dancing.
