Biography
Born and received secondary education in Oregon . Then Hoff went to Portland and entered the Polytechnic Institute. Then he entered the School of the Art Museum (now the Pacific Northwest College of Art) in Portland. In addition to the above sciences, Hoff studied architecture, music, graphic design and Asian cultures [3] .
Prior to his career as a writer, he worked as a restorer, orderly, singer, photojournalist and songwriter. In 2006, Hoff published an article on his website entitled “Farewell to Authorship” (Farewell, Authorship) [4] . In which he condemned the publication of an industry book and announced his retirement from writing. Currently a journalist. Since 2010, Hoff has been chatting with members of the Oregon Historical Society on his website. Hoff is on the list of the most famous people in America and is one of 55,000 people from 215 countries listed on the Who is Who in the World list [3] .
Hobbies
Hoff loves to play classical guitar and compose music [3] . He also devotes most of his time to Taoist yoga, taijiquan, kite flying tricks, planing and throwing boomerangs, and Taoist tennis [5] .

Benjamin Hoff has written five books: The Way to Life (1981), The House on the Point (2002), The Singing Creek Where the Willows Grow: The Rediscovered Diary of Opal Whiteley (1986), Tao Winnie “ Pooh ” (2004) and his sequel - “ De Piglet ” (1992). De Piglet is Hoff's most famous book. In it, he talks about the beliefs of Piglet. In the books “Tao of Pooh” and “De Piglet”, Hoff, using the characters of Milne, popularly explains the philosophy of Taoism . The text of Milne is modified [6] .

Awards and Achievements
Hoff was awarded the American Book Prize in 1988 for his book The Singing Creek Where the Willows Grow. [9]
The books of Tao Pooh and De Piglet became the best-selling books of The New York Times. In total, about 1 million copies of the book “Tao of Pooh” were sold [10] .
"The Singing Creek Where the Willows Grow: The Rediscovered Diary of Opal Whiteley" is a biographical book about Opal Whiteley , an American writer from Oregon. The books Tao of Pooh, De Piglet and The Singing Creek Where the Willows Grow were selected in the Quality Paperback Book Club [11] .
