Career

He started his football career in the youth team of St. Mirren , but the club did not want to sign a professional contract with him [4] and Paul left the team. Soon, he became a player in the Queens Park amateur club and in December 2005 played his first match at a professional level. In the 2006/07 season he helped his team to enter the “ Second Division ” and in the same year signed a three-year contract with the club “ Partic Thistle ” [5] . But then he went to rent back to Queens Park [5] , for which he played before 2009. In “ Partic Tisl ” he debuted already in 2009 in the “ Challenge Cup ” match against “ Airdrie United ”. In the 2011/12 season, Paul scored 12 goals, filling out the first “hat-trick” on April 21, 2012, hitting the Dundee gate three times. In July 2012, Cairney signed a two-year contract with Hibernian , [6] and on September 1 scored his first goal for the team, hitting the Celtic gates (2: 2).
