Career
Daria was born into a large family in Narva. From early childhood engaged in cross-country skiing , from 13 years old - biathlon. She began to train with her cousin [1] . Her first biathlon coach was Evgeny Vshivtsev from the Energia sports school in Narva. In youth age groups, she constantly won.
At the Nordic Biathlon Championship among juniors in 2010, Daria Yurlova won two gold medals. In the same year, she became the Estonian Junior Ski Champion. These victories allowed her to receive the title of the best young Estonian skier in 2010, awarded by the Estonian Ski Union .
Performances in adult competitions were not possible due to the lack of Estonian citizenship , for which it was necessary to renounce the citizenship of the Russian Federation . Only after reaching the age of eighteen Daria managed to settle bureaucratic procedures, and in December 2010 she received an Estonian passport [2] .
On December 17, 2010, Daria Yurlova made her debut in international competitions among adults: she took 40th place in the sprint race of the IBU Cup in Austrian Obertilliach [3] . January 8, 2011 in the sprint race of the World Cup in Oberhof, she showed the 80th result [4] .
In March 2012, Daria took part in the Biathlon World Championship held in Ruhpolding (Germany). At a distance of 7.5 km, she showed the 44th result, and in competitions at a 15-km distance she became the 63rd [5] .
In 2014, she participated in the XXII Olympic Winter Games , where she was part of the Estonian team.
She completed her sports career at the end of the 2014/15 season.
In May 2015, she became the new board member of the Ida-Virumaa Sports Union from the Narva and Narva-Jõesuu region [6] .
