Education
He graduated from Taiwan National Sports University.
Sports career
At the 2002 Asian Summer Games in Busan , he won a silver medal in the team championship. In personal competitions I could not pass the qualification round.
In 2006, in Doha, he was able to re-win the silver medal of the Asian Games in the team championship. In the individual championship again could not pass the qualification round.
In 2007, he won a bronze medal at the World Archery Championship, and became a champion at the Asian Championship.
At the 2009 Summer Universiade in Serbia, Belgrade won two silver medals in the individual and team championships.
2004 Olympics
In the individual championship he was able to successfully perform in the qualification round, taking 18th place and gaining 659 points. In the qualifying tournament in 1/32, the athlete from the United States John Mager defeated, but already in the 1/16 finals he lost to the Ukrainian Viktor Ruban in a shootout. According to the results of the competition, Wang Zhengbang took 17th place.

2008 Olympics
In the qualification round of the personal championship took 11th place, gaining 667 points. In the qualifying tournament in 1/64, Bashan won Tashi Paljor with a score of 110: 100, but in the next round he lost to the Japanese Ryuichi Moriya. According to the results of the competition, Wang Zhengbang took the 20th place.
In the team championship, having defeated the US team in the first round, in the quarterfinal they lost to the Ukrainian team and took the final 7th place.
2012 Olympics
In the individual championship in qualification, he took 33rd place with a score of 663 points. In the 1/62 finals, the Colombian Daniel Felipe Pineda defeated, but, like at the last Olympics, lost in the next round. This time, he lost to Korean athlete Lim Dong Hyun (two-time Olympic archery champion in the 2004 and 2008 team championships). According to the results of the competition, Wang Zhengbang took 17th place.
In the team championship, the Taiwan national team lost in the 1/8 finals of the Italian national team and took the final 9th place.
