Certiport is an American company providing test development and automated testing services. The company manages a network of more than 12 thousand [1] test centers around the world (more than a hundred test centers are located in Russia and the CIS [2] ). Certiport testing system includes official certification of the Microsoft Office software package, Microsoft Technology Associate certification programs, Adobe Certified Associate, CompTIA [3] Strata ™ IT Fundamentals, Autodesk ® Certified User, Intuit QuickBooks Certified User and Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) .

History
1997 - Foundation of Certiport [4] .
1997 - Launch of the first certification program ( Microsoft® Office Specialist ) [5] .
2002 - Launch of the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) certification program.
2007 - Certiport together with Microsoft announced the creation of a new line of certification focused on business applications, which later served as the basis for creating certification for Microsoft Office 2007 [6] .
2007, June - Adobe, in collaboration with Certiport, launched the Adobe Certified Associate certification program [7] .
2010, April - CompTIA and Certiport announced a strategic partnership [8] .
2010, May - Certiport acquired MeasureUp LLC, a world leader in practical IT tests, in order to offer a full range of solutions to support the entire certification life cycle, including training materials, practice examinations and certification [9] .
July 2010 - Certiport introduced the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification program in the global academic market [10] . The main difference of this certification program is its focus on testing the fundamental knowledge of students in the field of information technology and software development and serves as the first step towards higher level certificates.
2011 - Certiport expanded its certification portfolio to include Autodesk Certified User [11] and Intuit QuickBooks Certified User [12] certifications.
2012, May - Certiport was acquired by PearsonVUE with an independent status [13] .
2012, September - Certiport announced that the Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 certification line is complemented by the Office 365 cloud service exam [14] .
2013, March - Certiport introduced the Microsoft Office Specialist 2013 certification program (currently only exams for Word 2013 Core and Excel 2013 Core are available) [15] .
Activities
A network of over 12,000 Certiport test centers accepts certification exams in 152 countries in 27 languages. Since 2002, more than 750 thousand students have taken part in Certiport Microsoft Office (Certiport Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office) and IC³ (IC³ World Cup competitions).
