Genus name
The genus Semiramisia was named in 1851 by Johann Friedrich Klotsch in honor of Semiramis , Queen of Assyria [6] .
Range
Semiramisia karsteniana is found in South America in Venezuela [7] , and Semiramisia speciosa is found in Ecuador [8] .
