Ramiro has a twin brother, Rogelio , who is also a professional footballer.
Club career
In 2001, Ramiro moved with his family to the United States , where he studied with the Dallas club's children’s team, along with his brother.
Ramiro Funes is a graduate of the River Plate football academy. In 2010, he was included by the team coach in the application for participation in the Argentinean championship . On February 5, 2012, in a match against Almirante Brown , Mori made his debut in the Argentine Example [3] . On February 27, in a duel against Desamparados , Ramiro Funes scored his first goal for the River [4] . In 2015, Mori won the Libertadores Cup , in the final against the Mexican WANL Tigres he scored a goal [5] .
September 1, 2015 Ramiro switched to English Everton . The amount of transfer amounted to 9.5 million pounds [6] . On September 12, the footballer made his English Premier League debut , replacing Seymus Coleman in a winning match against Chelsea [7] .
On June 21, 2018, Funes Mori moved to the Spanish “ Villarreal ” [8] , signing a 4-year contract with the Spanish club. On August 18, in his match against Real Sociedad , he made his debut in La Liga [9] . On September 26, Ramiro scored his first goal for Villarreal in a duel against Athletic Bilbao [10] .
International Career
On March 28, 2015, in a friendly match against the Salvador national team, Mori made his debut for the Argentine national team [11] .
In the summer of 2016, Ramiro became the silver medalist of the America's Cup in the United States . At the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Panama [12] , Bolivia [13] , USA [14] , Venezuela [15] and twice Chile [16] [17] .
On October 6, 2016, in the qualifying match of the 2018 World Cup against the national team of Peru, Ramiro scored his first goal for the national team [18] .
