Evansiola (lat.) Is a genus of insects from the family of cicadas ( Cicadellidae ). South America: The Juan Fernández Islands (Juan Fernández, Chile ), located in the South Pacific about 670 km west of the coast of America at the latitude of Valparaiso. The length is 4-5 mm. Cicadas with brachipteral or submacroptor wings. Head twice as wide as long, protrudes forward, no ocelli absent. Macrosetal formula of the hips is 2 + 0 or 2 + 1. They are similar to Agalliinae and Ulopinae [1] [2] . The taxonomic position of the genus is discussed; it is also included in Ulopinae or Megophthalminae . In 1977, the genus was allocated to a separate subfamily Evansiolinae [3] .
