It is located on the left bank of the river Lzha (a tributary of Utroi ), 27 km southwest of the center of Ostrov and 6 km south of the village of Dubki .

The population of the village as of 2000 was 10 people [1] .

Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Rubilov volost with its center in the village of Dubki .
