It is located on the left bank of the river Lzha , at its confluence with Morning , 22 km south-west of the center of Ostrov and 4 km north of the village of Dubki .
The population of the village as of 2000 was 8 people [1] .
Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Rubilov volost with its center in the village of Dubki .
