It is located on the right bank of the Lzha River (a tributary of Utroi ) on the A116 highway , 20 km southwest of the center of Ostrov and 2 km northeast of the village of Dubki .

The population of the village as of 2000 was 25 people [1] .

Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Rubilov volost with its center in the village of Dubki .
