Nisel Borisovich Brodichansky (also Arnold Brodichansky ; born May 20, 1945 , Chisinau , Moldavian SSR ) - Moldavian theater and documentary film director, screenwriter, playwright.

Biography

As a high school student, he attended the acting studio “Cinema Amator” at the Moldova-Film Studio. [1] After graduating from high school in 1962 , he studied at the theater studio at the Moscow Youth Theater and at the directing department at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (LGITMiK) (he graduated in 1972 from the workshop of G. A. Tovstonogov ). [2] Worked as a director of the Chisinau Russian Drama Theater. A.P. Chekhov , as well as the theater of the film actor and the Danko theater studio. [3] He starred in a cameo role in the movie “Notches for memory” ( Moldova-film , 1973). Throughout the 1980s, he worked as a production director at the Moldova-Film Studio, then Telefilm-Chisinau.

Together with Alla Korkina, he wrote the book “Ahead is the Road: A Story with Adventures for Boys and Girls” (Chisinau: Artistry Literature, 1988). Together with Boris Sandler, he directed a series of films about contemporary Jewish writers ( Shire Gorshman , Avroma Karpinovich). [4] Of the most famous films of Nisel Brodichansky - “Leonardi, your way out!” About the ballet dancer Petra Leonardi (1983), “Where is my house?” About the fate of Bessarabian Jewry (1991), “Seven Songs 100 Years Long” by the Centenary Chisinau pogrom (2003).

The author of the plays “The Mouse under the Sunbeam” (for puppet theaters), “Men of her life” (drama in 2 acts), “Chisinau Ragtime” (musical tragicomedy in 2 acts), “Edith Piaf”, “Circling quietly” bad weather ”and others, mainly staged in various theaters in Russia and Israel by themselves. [5] [6] He staged a play based on the dramatic poem by Lev Berinsky, “Kabbalist in the Metro”.
