Davidia ( Latin: Davidia ) is a monotypic genus of plants of the subfamily Nyssoideae of the Cornelae family . The only view is Davidia covering , or wrapping , or wrapping ( Davidia involucrata ).

Toulouse MuseumThe plant is found in the mountains in the central part and in the west of China ( Guizhou , Hubei , Hunan , Sichuan and Yunnan provinces ). In many countries, cultivated as a garden plant.
Deciduous tree up to 25 m high. The leaves are simple, serrate, heart-shaped, resembling linden leaves.
The flowers are collected in spherical inflorescences with a diameter of up to 2 cm with two large bracts of white color up to 25 cm long.
The fruit is a multi - stalk with a peduncle long, up to 10 cm. One fruit contains from 3 to 6 seeds with a very hard shell.
