Biography
He was born in the family of a hereditary honorary citizen, a former exile in the “ 193 case ” [1] .
He graduated from high school in Ufa. In 1902 he entered the Petersburg Technological Institute , due to participation in student unrest, he was sent back to Ufa. Member of the RSDLP since 1903. Repeatedly arrested.
Member of the Revolution of 1905-1907 . In 1905, a member of the Executive Committee of the St. Petersburg Council from the Putilov Plant . In 1907, he participated in the preparation of an armed uprising in Vladivostok, but was arrested before it began. In late 1908 or early 1909 he emigrated to Belgium, where he graduated from the Higher Technical School (1911). In 1911 he returned to Russia.
Member of the October Revolution of 1917. After the revolution, on state and economic work: member of the board of the People’s Commissariat of Commerce (1917-1918), deputy chairman of the Extraordinary Commission for the Supply of the Red Army, head of the military supply of the Ukrainian Front (1919), chairman of the Central Board of the artillery factories (1919-1920), deputy commissar of railways Messages (1920).
Since 1920 - Chairman of the Board of Azneft in Baku. In 1926, Mr .. - Chairman of the Board of the USSR Oil and Gas Institute , in 1927-1930 - Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Economic Council of the USSR . Since 1928 - head of the Main Directorate for non-ferrous metals, gold and platinum of the Supreme Economic Council of the USSR (“Glavzoloto”) and a member of the board of the USSR People’s Commissariat. In 1932-1937 - Deputy Commissar of Heavy Industry of the USSR.
Initiator of the TsNIGRI organization [2] . Since 1924, simultaneously with state activities, he conducted teaching at the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute, Moscow Mining Academy , and the Institute of National Economy named after G.V. Plekhanov .
Member of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR . A candidate member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) (1925-1937).
Arrest and Execution
Arrested on September 23, 1937. Accused of counter-revolutionary activity. By a resolution of the October Plenum of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (October 11–12, 1937), he was removed from the list of candidates for membership in the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks as a “public enemy”. On February 8, 1938, the verdict was formally approved by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR. He was executed on February 10, 1938.
May 19, 1956 rehabilitated posthumously. [3]
Family
He officially married in 1915. His wife, Anna Vladimirovna, died in 1926 in Baku. Secondly A.P. Serebrovsky married in 1929 the daughter of a boundary engineer V.P. Lukyanov - Eugenia, with whom he lived until his death. E.V.Serebrovskaya followed her husband was repressed and twice visited the Gulag. In 1930, the Serebrovskys had a daughter - Inna Alexandrovna, who became a teacher and achieved rehabilitation of her father and mother [4] .
Rewards
He was awarded the Order of Lenin (1931), the Order of the Red Banner of the Azerbaijan SSR (1921) [5]
