History
The first written mention of the city dates back to 1335.
Geography
Located north of the Mures River, 25 km from the administrative center of the County, the city of Arad . The city also includes the settlements of Bodrogu-Vek, Cederhat and Turnu.
Population
According to the 2002 census, the city population is 13,024 people. Romanians make up 57.05% of the population; Hungarians - 32.57%; gypsies - 8.38%; Ukrainians - 0.36%. Romanian is considered native by 60.51% of the population; Hungarian - 32.19% [1] .
