Golshansky, Semyon Yurevich (died 1556)

Semen Yurievich Golshansky (c. 1515 - 1556 ) - statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , Prince of Dubrovitsky ( 1549 - 1556 ) and Golshansky ( 1549 - 1556 ), the great Lithuanian attendant ( 1555 ). The younger son of Prince Yuri Ivanovich Golshansky (d. 1536 ). The last male representative of the Golshansky clan.

Biography

In 1549, after the death of his childless elder brother, the governor of Trotsky Prince Yanush Yuryevich Golshansky , Semyon Golshansky inherited Dubrovitsky and Golshansk principality. In 1555 he was appointed stolnik the great Lithuanian.

He was married to Anna Yurievna Radziwill (1518–1558), the daughter of the great Lithuanian hetman Jerzy (Yuri) Radziwill Hercules (1480–1541) and Barbara Cole, from whom he had no children.

In 1556, after the death of the childless Prince Semyon Yuryevich Golshansky, the rich inheritance of the princes Golshansky, which he inherited after the death of his father and older brothers, was divided between his six sisters: Anastasia (the wife of Prince Kuzma Ivanovich Zaslavsky ), Elena (the wife of Pavel Ivanovich Sapega ) Sophia (wife of Prince Alexander Polubensky ), Maria (wife of Andrei Montovt, Mikhail Kozinsky and Andrei Kurbsky ), Anna (wife of Elizar Kirdey) and Theodora (wife of Bogdan Solomeretsky).
