Chepelik, Vladimir Andreevich

Vladimir Andreevich Chepelik (born October 17, 1945 , Kiev , Ukrainian SSR , USSR ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian sculptor . People's Artist of Ukraine ( 1992 ). Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine ( 2000 ).

Biography

Born October 17, 1945 in Kiev (now Ukraine ). He graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute in 1972. In the years 1972-1975 at the creative work. In 1975, he began teaching activities at the Kiev State Pedagogical Institute. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR ( 1977 ). Professor of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture ( 1991 ). Chairman of the NSHU (1990).

  • Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise IV (2016) [1] and V (2011) [2] degrees
  • Order of Merit III (1998) [3] , II (2004) [4] and I (2007) [5] degrees
  • Order of Friendship ( January 27, 2003 , Russia ) - for his great contribution to the development of art and the strengthening of Russian-Ukrainian cultural ties [6]
  • Prize of the LKSMU named after N. A. Ostrovsky (1986)
  • National Taras Shevchenko Prize of Ukraine (2000) - for the monument to M. S. Grushevsky in Kiev
  • Prize named after V.I. Vernadsky (2001)
