Cholunkhamur rural municipality is a rural settlement in the Iki-Burulsky district of Kalmykia . The administrative center and the only settlement in the SMO is the Cholun-Khamur settlement.

Geography

The SMO is located on the southern slope of the Cholun-Khamur Yergeni Ridge and is bordered in the south and west by Mantsinkovetsovsky , in the north and east by the Khomutnikovsky SMO .

History

The municipality was formed in 1993 [3] . The modern borders of the SMO are established by the Law of the Republic of Kalmykia of July 9, 2003 No. 360-II-3 “On the Establishment of the Boundaries of the Territory of the Cholunkhamur Rural Municipality of the Republic of Kalmykia”, as amended on October 13, 2004 No. 60-III-Z [4]
