The Cesarevitch (with the tab “Elisabeth”) is a sailing frigate of the Russian Imperial fleet , type “Hasty” . Belonged to the rank of 44-gun frigates , but had 58 guns . Laid down on March 24, 1838 in the St. Petersburg Main Admiralty . Builder MN Greenwald . Launched on April 30, 1841 , became part of the Baltic Fleet [1] [3] .

Service
In 1844 and 1847 as part of the squadron was in practical navigation in the North Sea .
Participation in the expedition of the Baltic Fleet in the Danish waters in 1848-1850
- On May 13, 1848, in the 3rd Division of Rear Admiral I. P. Epanchin, he left Kronstadt , on May 25 he went to the shores of Denmark and cruised around the Isle of Man , Rügen and Bornholm , then returned to Russia .
- In July-August 1849, Rear Admiral Z. Z. Balka , as part of the 2nd Division, cruised off the island of Gotland , and on June 15, 1850, together with the division, came to the Isle of Man. Rear Admiral Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich kept his flag on the frigate.
- On July 1, 1850, the division moved to the Small Belt Strait and embarked on Sonderburg raid.
- July 11, 1850, together with the division "Tsesarevich" went to Kronstadt [1] [3] .
In 1851 and 1853 as part of the squadron was in practical navigation in the Gulf of Finland .
Participation in the Crimean War of 1853-1856
- In 1854, as part of the 3rd Division, he stood in readiness at Sveaborg .
- July 28, 1855 participated in the reflection of the assault Sveaborg English squadron [1] [3] .
In 1858 he was converted into a shop in Helsingfors [1] [3] .
