The 1959 World Figure Skating Championships were held by the International Union of Skaters in Colorado Springs ( USA ). It was the jubilee, fiftieth world championship. Competitions were held in the categories of women's single skating , men's single skating and pair skating, and in ice dancing . World champions were US representatives Carol Hayss among women and David Jenkins among men, representatives of Canada Barbara Wagner and Robert Paul among couples, representatives of Great Britain Doreen Denny and Courtney Jones in dance.
