Irbin [1] ( Arabic. عربين ), also Arbil [2] ( Arabic. عربيل ) is a city in southwestern Syria , located in Eastern Ghouta in the territory of Damascus governorate.

Geographical position
The city is located in the western part of the governorate, in the Barada river valley, at an altitude of 670 meters above sea level [3] .
Irbin is located about 5 kilometers northeast of Damascus , the provincial capital and administrative center of the country. The nearest airport is in Damascus [3] .
