The village is located in the south of one of the islands in the delta of the Velikaya River - Gorushka Island, 14 km north-west from the center of Pskov .
The population as of 2000 was 3 inhabitants. [one]
In the village there is the chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the house of the fisherman Timofey Manukhov, in which SM Kirov stayed in September 1931-1933. There is a memorial plaque on the house. On the southern coast, a monument to fishermen and residents of the village of Gorki is installed near one of the houses. During the years of Soviet power there was a water communication with the village.
Now in Gorki you can get on your boat, or on the ice in winter. A country road leads from Murowitz along the river bank and ends in front of the village. The road can be dirty, or completely partially flooded, depending on the season or rainy year.
