Professional career
In the professional ring, Heimer made his debut in October 2008 in a heavy weight category.
He held 11 win-win fights, and in May 2010, Heimer entered the ring with an undefeated 35-year-old compatriot, former basketball player, Kelvin Price (6-0). The fight came out very tense, but it was difficult for Hamer to break the distance that Price controlled the jab. The bout came out fairly equal, but a split decision was awarded to Kelvin Price. Heimer suffered his first defeat in the professional ring.
In 2010, Haymer had two more fights and left the ring for more than a year due to injury.
Thor returned in March 2012 , defeated two ranked boxers, and went to the UK to participate in the prestigious Prizefighter tournament.
Heimer, unlike distinguished Kevin Johnson and Albert Sosnowski, was considered an underdog in the tournament, but Thor was able to refute the predictions, and sensationally won the tournament, winning the final on points by former world title challenger Kevin Johnson and became the champion of the Prizefighter tournament [2] .
In October 2012, American Dominic Alexander knocked out in the second round.
On December 22, 2012, Thor Heimer met with the undefeated Ukrainian boxer, Vyacheslav Glazkov . The match did not take place at a very high pace, but Glazkov constantly changed the distance, and in every way took out the American with combinations of punches. Hamer could not oppose the masterful Glazkov. In the interval between the fourth and fifth rounds, Haymer's corner refused to continue the fight. Glazkov won the fourteenth victory in the professional ring, and the tenth premature, and what is remarkable, the seventh victory by refusing to continue the fight [3] [4] .
August 14, 2013 Heimer knocked out in the first round of Curtson Manswell . And on November 24 of the same year, he lost the title fight with a technical decision in the third round to Andy Ruiz .
