Biography

Ishbulatov Khadzhi-Akhmet was born on March 16, 1851, in the village of Udryakbash, Ufa county, Ufa province (now the Blagovarsky district of Bashkortostan ), to the family of the foreman of the 3rd Meshcheryak canton [1] Iskhak Mukhametrakhimovich - a participant in the Patriotic War of 1812. According to different sources, either Bashkirs [2] [3] or Tatar [4] by nationality. He considered himself a Bashkir [5] .

In 1866 he graduated from the Asian branch of the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps .

In 1908, he resigned with the rank of Major General.

During the First World War, on July 9, 1915 he was returned to service, and on July 27 he was appointed commander of the 146th infantry reserve battalion. February 9, 1916 was dismissed from service.

On April 18, 1916 he was again returned to the front and appointed commander of the 152nd infantry reserve regiment.

After the February Revolution, in 1917 he was appointed head of the garrison of the city of Belebey, Ufa province. Since January 8, 1918 he became commander of the 1st Muslim Rifle Brigade, after the dissolution of which he returned to his homeland in April of that year.

In the summer of 1918, Ishbulatov was recruited by the Bashkir Central Shuro to serve in the Bashkir army , parts of which fought in the Ural-Volga region against the Red Army [6] .

From July 28, 1918 he was appointed head of the 1st Bashkir Infantry Division and then commander of the Bashkir Corps . In October he was promoted to lieutenant general. Since November 22 of the same year - the head of the Bashkir military administration [7] .

In December 1918 he retired from military affairs. February 14, 1919, along with the Bashkir army crossed to the side of the Red Army .
