Biography
In 1994 he defended his doctoral dissertation in the sociology of television at the Higher School of Social Sciences (supervisor - Alain Turen ). He taught at the University of Paris III ( 1998 - 2008 ). Later he was a professor of sociology at the University of Bordeaux II , co-director of the Center Emil Durkheim at this university. Since 2010 also teaches media sociology at the Institute for Political Studies in Paris . One of the compilers of the anthology of Cultural studies (Paris: Armand Colin, 2008 ). Develops the sociological approach of Stuart Hall , translated and commented on his works in France ( [1] ).
Scientific Interests
Gender, racial and ethnic relations, biopolitical issues, problems of mass communication and mass culture.
