History
The original name Nikolaevsky Lane has been known since 1889 , given by the name of one of the owners of Krestovsky Island from the family of Princes Belozersky-Beloselsky . Since 1909, there appears the option of Nikolaevskaya street [2] .
The modern name Dynamo Street was assigned on September 10, 1935 , in honor of the Dynamo Sports Society , whose stadium is located on Krestovsky Island. The name was abolished on January 14, 1974, and restored on June 5, 2001 [2] .
In the late 1950s, Dynamo Street was shortened to Kem Street . On June 23, 2011, after the demolition of two houses on Morsky Prospekt and the construction of a new house number 33 on it, Dynamo Street returned its former borders. In this street, the direction changed, since in 2006-2007, house No. 2 was built between Kemskaya street and Martynov embankment along Dynamovskaya street, and if the numbering direction remained the same, it would be impossible to give a single number on the new stretch of the even side.
